Singapore , Day 1

My family and I decided to get another getaway from hectic life to Singapore. My last visit to Singapore was when I was 8 years old ! So here, our Day 1 Singapore Trip begins. We took AirAsia to Singapore. Surprisingly, I met Kah Hong at the airport. He is transiting to Adelaide from Singapore.

Upon arriving, we took bus to our hotel, YMCA Hotel. My daddy is a club member of YMCA and we always stayed in that hotel whenever we came to Singapore. When we reached YMCA hotel, Christine Wong was waiting for us at the bus stop. After checked in, we went for lunch at Parklane Shopping Mall near our hotel. Singapore really changed a lot, ever since my last visit. It's still a peaceful and advance modern city.

After lunch, we went to Bugis Street. There are lots of things to buy in Bugis Junction. it is one of the more vibrant shopping malls in Singapore - part indoor department store, part open-air shopping street, this modern retail space feels like a combination of the Bugis Street Market and Bugis Mall that both sit across the road. The standout feature here really is the huge glass roof that provides a handsome and air-conditioned shelter , as well as the cute colonial shop houses and hawker-style carts that line the main shopping avenue.

In the evening, we went to Marina Bay Sands. We took dinner there and stroll around the shopping mall.

After dinner, we took a walk outside Marina Bay Sands. There was a performance by the waterfront of Marina Bay Sands called Wonder Full. It is a unique, beautiful story about the creation of Life, told through the use of water, fire, light, lasers and other high impact Mega Media elements. This spectacular show explores humanity and the beauty of the human experience through original footage of the people of Singapore, taking you on an emotional and heartfelt journey.

After the performance, we went to Gardens By the Bay. Garden by the Bay brings to life the National Parks Board Singapore's vision of creating a City in a Garden. The Gardens captures the essence of Singapore as the premier tropical Garden City with the perfect environment in which to live and work, making Singapore a leading global city of the 21th century. At night, the performance at Garben by the Bay also become the main attraction of the tourists.
